I was born in Ulan Bator, on the edge of the Gobi Desert in the middle of a
sand storm. The only child of poor British Missonaries, I was born horribly
disfigured and my parents made me wear a mask to protect me from the attacks of
superstitious villagers. Eventually my family was forced to flee as they blamed
my birth for the poor crop that year. We have been on the move ever since.
As an adult, I continued to wear a mask, as I had grown used
to hiding my face. I have lived a quiet secluded life , which is where my
interest in miniatures came from. It allowed me to create a world where I could
live without the harsh judgement of other people. I also became interested in
tropical fishkeeping as they did not recoil from my ugliness, as even cats and
dogs do. Music , ahh music how would I have survived with out it. The
heart rending songs of the blues and the energy of heavy rock. I have consumed
all that has been offered. It stirs my soul.
Now as I approach my 50th year , I have decided to hide no more
and with Facebook, Twitter and this website share with the world, the knowledge
and skills that my seclusion has allowed me to aquire.
Please enjoy what I have to offer, I know it is not much but it is
never the less very hard won.
